Cheers to Charlie Papazian

The American Homebrewers Association's annual conference was held in Portland, Oregon—referred to by some as "Beervana"—in 2018. The event featured 60+ educational sessions, a Homebrew Expo, Club Night, and 3,000+ attendees; the ultimate experience for homebrewers.

2018's event was not only the 40th HomebrewCon but also founder Charlie Papazian's last conference before his well-earned retirement planned for the following year.

2018 Style Guide

I assembled a style guide to follow for all promotional, marketing, wayfinding, and event graphics which created a cohesive, visual experience.

Since this year's event would be our founder Charlie Papazian's last before his well-earned retirement, we used him as the style guide and marketing campaign's focal point.

To fit the theme, Luke and I posed him in a meditative position for a photoshoot, which I later edited to depict him in the act of achieving beervana.
