Background

The Great American Beer Festival (GABF) is the American brewing industry’s top public tasting opportunity and competition hosted by the Brewers Association.

In 2019, 60,000+ attendees from around the world came to the Colorado Convention Center in Denver to sample over 4,000 different beers from over 800 of the nation’s finest breweries.

For the love of beer

The Brewers Association Creative and Marketing Departments chose "Beer Love" as the theme for the 2019 GABF. This centers around the festival's themes of bringing people together from across the nation in celebration of American-made craft beer.

2019 Style Guide

The Great American Beer Festival is a huge, collective effort that requires extensive planning and coordination.

The Brewers Association in-house creative department develops hundreds of design pieces for marketing and to enhance the attendee's festival experience.

I designed a style guide, which was then used to unify all promotional, marketing, wayfinding, and event graphics to create a strong, cohesive visual impact.

Wayfinding System

In 2019, the brewery booths at GABF were reorganized to arrange breweries by region.

I designed a new way finding signage system that relied on familiar and distinctive visual elements from each of the regions to help attendees more quickly navigate the festival hall.
